Default ISO the best possible deal I can get on an EHD for a Christmas gift

I drew my BIL's name for a Christmas gift, and I know he wants an EHD because he has been asking me questions about what to buy I'm going to beat him to the punch and buy it for him before he has a chance to buy it himself...that is, if I can find one in my price range.

Our limit is supposed to be $50, but we always go over. Is it possible to find an EHD under about $80? I have no Best Buy, Circuit City, Staples, Office Depot, etc., in my town, so any recent ads are out of the question...unless someone wants to pick one up for me and mail

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A few options for you. All available to order online.

Western Digital 80gb - $89.99

WD My Book 250gb - $99.99 (I highly recommend the My Books.....mine has been AWESOME!)....not to mention that's a $50 savings....

I/O Magic GigaBank 250gb - $79.99 (after mail in rebates). I personally have no experience with this brand, but it looks like a great deal if you don't mind the rebates.

Calvary 160gb - $59.99

Fantom 160bg - $69.99

Maxtor 100gb - $69.99 (I had a Maxtor before I got the My Book and it was great too...)

Fantom 120gb - $29.99 @ buy.com (using their $20 off coupon....AWESOME deal....I've used it several times this season already)

The 200gb Fantom - $69.99 (with the same google dealie)

If I find any better deals, I'll let you know. Apparently those Fantoms get pretty good reviews.

Sure thing. I've been in super sleuth mode for about 6 weeks now scouring the web for the best deals. I have to shop for me, as well as my mom and grandma....they both hate to shop. So about 50 gifts later (literally)....I know where to go. ROFL! I've used that buy.com coupon about 10 times....just keep splitting my orders up into $50 increments.....rofl!

A good place to check for deals on all kids of stuff is dealnews.com. Look in the section called "storage" for EHDs.

I've read bad reviews of the Maxtors, I'd advise staying away from them.

I got a 250GB Western Digital for $99.99 at Best Buy. They may have the same deal online if you look. That may be a little over your budget, but fot 250GB, that is an AWESOME deal!

I just got a Lacie from Buy.com myself. They have that google deal which is awesome! You can use it over and over too! We had trouble with Maxtor working with our MAC, even though it said it would. Had to return it. Have fun shopping!

I don't know if you've purchased one yet or not, but today Buy.com lowered their price on the 250gb My Book (my fav EHD's). It's only $80 shipped!!

Here's a EHD for only $80
