Default Help me QUIT!!

Hi, I am Katherine and I am a drop shadow addict.

I have greatly reduced my over use of heavy shadows, (thanks to Gina Miller's advice) but I need to restrain even more. I even bought Traci's Shadows, but I use them and then add more!

Thank goodness I don't apply make up like I do shadows!!

It seems that they don't look like enough on screen, but when the LO is printed, it is startlingly UGLY!

Help me lighten my hand!
LUV you girls!!

I have the SAME problem. When I look on the screen, I'm like, that is definitely NOT enough. What are all these people thinking... just a 1 or a 2. So... I admit it, my name is Wendy and I'm a shadow addict.

If in doubt do a mock up in real life. Put one paper over the other. What kind of shadow do you get? Almost NONE. Now I use very little shadow. I am slightly obsessed with making my shadows realistic lol. Too obsessed But when in doubt put something similar in front of you and check the shadow

Me too! I loooove Traci's shadows (although I do use my own for paper & photos... it's just my own little touch I love )

The reason I am so obssessed now is because when I started out, I BEVELED everything. Egads! WHAT was I thinking?! I think we are so fascinating with our programs and the fact that we can make things look so real that we go to town on the shadows. Needless to say, I've re-done a LOT of those pages.

I always wish someone would have stopped and told me. Sure they were probably afraid to offend me..... But now if someone e-mails me and asks me to look at one of their pages, I'll be honest if I think the shadows are too heavy. Only because like I said, it would have saved me a lot of time and re-doing if someone would have said that to me when I first started.

Um... Kathy... You may want to take those templates I gave you and turn the shadows down. I'm serious. If you think they are just right, I probably overdid them!
