Does anyone out there have an opinion on ACDSEE and if it has helped you with organizing photos and digital scrap supplies or not???

YES! it has helped me tremendously, as I had a huge mess going in my org, from many designers changing shoppes they sell at.
Now...not to get in their way, I wish all the best, but my 'stuff' sufferered. I am doing better. I like my 'plan' of attack (if I ever quit DL and finish) If you ever want 'my method', just ask. I have screen shots. Now, I know there is a free one with windows live, but, I do not totally trust it. Not looking for a debate, just IMHO. m |

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my ACDSee!! I can't imagine trying to scrap or design without it... I'm able to work so much faster now that I have all my previews tagged, and all my Commercial use items tagged... I can find that kit I'm looking for in a heart beat!!

I love it (although it did take a while to tag everything). If I want a yellow ribbon I can find it. Or a green alpha...etc. Worth the time in the end.

I have ACDSee and couldn't live without it! It sure is a lifesaver when I am looking for something. I've had no problems (except for human error...LOL) with the program. It works great.

I've used it for 3 versions and was even on a team on contract to ACDSee. It does work great when it works. I now have a new laptop so that's Windows 7 and I can't afford the upgrade so going back to ACDSee isn't an option for me right now. I'm working with Windows Live Photo Gallery. I'm still having issues with PNG tagging and moving files around or restoring them...see my other thread in this forum if you want the details. If I don't solve the PNG issue I'll be tagging previews and papers and creating contact sheets to tag elements that I really want to tag.
My speed tagging methods still work in ACDSee (as well as in WLPG). HTH! Kristi

I used ACDSee for years, until I switched to the Mac in January of this year. I really, really miss it! I've got all my stuff tagged in Adobe Bridge now, but I'm counting down the days until ACDSee is released for the Mac. From my experience, ACDSee is much faster and has many more features tailored for scrapbookers (as opposed to people cataloguing a photo collection). Hope this helps!
