Yet Another Newbie!
Hi everyone! First, thank you for starting a 'no rules' community! I really hate running against rules when all we want to do is learn from each other.
I have downloaded a few kits but haven't 'really' started digi-scrapping yet. I've worked with graphics for a little while, but for some reason I feel intimidated to try this (maybe 2Peas had something to do with that!) I'm 28, I've been married to my wonderful husband Kevin since Sept 2001 & we have had 3 children, Brianna, Amanda, & Jacob. Tragically Brianna (Jan 02-Jun 02) & Jacob (Jul 05-Sept 05) both passed away with the same unknown genetic seizure disorder. It's because of them that scrapbooking has really played a part in my heart as their lives were so short & I want it documented permanently. (www.journalthejourney.com) Amanda on the other hand is my bouncing 3 year old who was born on my birthday 2003! BEST birthday present I could have asked for...a healthy baby girl. We just recently moved from Anchorage, Alaska to Grand Prairie, Texas this past March, and so far I'm liking it! We are having a new house built & it should be ready by mid-July..can't wait to move it!! I look foward to learning the digi side of scrapping from all of you (without the fear of posting!) & hopefully posting my own layouts soon! I would even love to dabble desiging my own kits too. If any of you live in the area...please say hello as I'm always on the hunt for new buds!! hahahah I'm very big into charity work & love the ideas of digital kits to benefit charity! I was the lead organizer/founder of Crop for Cancer in Anchorage, Alaska where in just 2 short years we've raised $44,500 in just Alaska alone!! Crop for Cancer spread last year to Hawaii, Oklahoma, & Texas too! (www.cropforcancer.com) As I sit here writing this, I think of the direction of Journal the Journey & Crop for Cancer in which it can grow by being part of the digital world & my mind is swarming with ideas! I'm excited to see where this might lead!! I've been asked to design a Journal the Journey Kit Sequal...and digital just might be the way I go! (YOU ENABLERS YOU!!) Hi Jamie!! I am so glad to meet you!! Wow, I can't imagine going through all you have been through!! I'm so sorry for the tragic losses of Brianna and Jacob. How wonderful though that you're scrapping for them. And congrats on your healthy baby Amanda!! What a little blessing!! Can't wait to get to know you and welcome!!

Howdy, neighbor!! I'm just NE of you just outside of Plano! Welcome to the board! I hope you can find some courage to go ahead and start digi-scrapping! You'll soon become addicted. I started just about two weeks ago and am loving every minute of it. I hope you find some freedom in it!
