Default Tip for Frugal Shoppers who use ACDSee

Hopefully, this will help someone out because it sure is helping me! I created a folder called _UNUSED KITS (added the underline so it would be at the top of the list). I then went thru my designer folders and moved each unused kit to that file, to be moved back to designer file after use. Well, I'm only up to the letter L on my designer list and already have 33 kits in that file!

This should give me a better idea of my purchase/use practices and possibly help me stop buying everything I see and like on impulse.

I think this is a good idea for anybody. Even if you just make a folder of unused kit to go to before you shop. Thanks for the idea.

This is a great idea! I was thinking of doing something similar for CT stuff that still needed to be done. Oh, the possibilities with ACDSee!!! LOVE this program.

Great idea! I did this in Picasa, but hadn't done it yet in ACDsee. It is really helpful, except when you really LIKE to shop.

I just downloaded it! Now, to get organizing... fear, I tell you, fear is going through my blood to see how many kits will be in the unused section.

Thanks for sharing the great tip! I've just downloaded the trial this weekend, and need to start organizing tonight. Somehow everytime I sit down to organize, I start scrapping instead (or lurking at DST! ) and before I know it, the night's over and no organizing got done. Ack!

Gayle, you don't really need to move them. You can just add a category for Unused and tag them with that category. Then you can select that category and all of those kits will come up, even if you have also tagged them for something else. That way you don't have to do any moving.

Now to go create an Unused category for myself!!!

Red face

I have a filed called 'new' that I put all my new stuff in & then once I use it I move it to the proper folder. I have a couple things in there from September I still haven't used

I'm thinking I would do the same for myself, except it would make me feel a bit ashamed. It would be a lot easier to tag everything I *have* used. :P
