Just finished reading 'the thirteenth tale', and it was pretty good. If you love the multigenerational stories with bits of sordid secrets and eerie mystery, then you will love the thirteenth tale. It's delish!

I read this a couple of months ago and LOVED it!! I was able to guess on parts of it, but the end was a total surprise!!

I agree, the ending was a total surprise. I loved the gothic feeling. I even included it in a layout I did for one of the Digi Dares about a day in the life:

LOVED this book. I've been recommending it to everyone I know who enjoys good fiction. The way Satterfield puts words together is pure poetry. And, you're right, the ending caught me completely off guard.
