I am just wondering what percentage of us use alphas alot. I know I dont hardly ever use alphas. I just find it quicker to use a font than to find all the letters for a title.

Well, alphas can be a pain to use, whether they are on a single sheet or individually saved. There was a thread not long ago where various pet peeves were mentioned and the annoyance of using them was common.
__________________That said, some alpha users are using more alphas since they started using tools to speed up the process. I have one script that will do that for PSP users. ![]() I know Anna Forrest has one for Photoshop (i am not sure if it works for PSE). Someone will surely come and link to her product. I love alphas, but it can get tedious putting them in. Doesn't stop me, but it is usually the longest process of making a page for me.

I didn't vote, because I don't use traditional alphas. But occasionally I create my own alpha-like things.... letters used as clipping masks, and I often use some custom font effects. But I've never used downloaded alphas.

Stef: I always enjoy to see your pages. I think you don't have to dl an alpha to use it, your own clipping mask alpha is just as much and as good an alpha as any dl'ed one would be... . I have been doing the same thing, rather PS my own alpha and very often element too than finding someone that made what I have in my head at this point.....
__________________I never understood the single alpha files. I much rather have them all on a sheet. What were the single files good for again? I bet there is a perfect rule or explanation for it

I prefer single files over the sheet because I use the "load files into stack" option on PS. Soooo much easier than cutting each letter individually.

I like the single file alphabets also because I only open the letters I use for the title. I usually forget to use the kit alphabets--I'm so bad!!
