I love using frames...and sometimes make my own from paper then run a style on it to make it look like a frame. I like to add a frame around the page sometimes to add an extra bit of color or keep the eye focused on the page.

Steph, love how you repeat a frame within a page to add continuity to it. LOL as I also have a 'wall of photo' with lots of frames.

I look for unusual elements that will work as a frame, too. Love this 3 arch element.

Lost this post once so will add it and do another post with more different frames.

Another thing I like using as a frame is windows...

Have to admit that this last one was a huge amount of fun. Once I saw the photo of my great-grand, I knew it had to be done with the feet sticking out of the frame.

And that last photo brings to mind that I do quite a few pages with the photo/person extending out of the frame. I extracted many of my images so I put them into the frame or scene.

This one also has 2 different types of frames, too.

And I really like it when I crop the image so that part of it extends outward over the frame.

This one has an egg used as frame for the smaller photo.

Always looking for different objects to use as frames. You just need to keep an open mind to what you can use for frames.

I'm enjoying fun framing as opposed to regular rectangle around rectangle photo.
A couple recent ones.

Michelle, love your pages. Of course I am love the window one especially. What a beautiful way to show the serenity of the sea. And what a darling little one she is surrounded by the leafy wreath for a frame. The use of circles is another technique I use, too. Love how yours are clustered together with those vivid flower photos inside. Beautiful pages.

Wow, Bright Eyes, you have so many awesome examples of frames- each one so unique! I especially love the art gallery one!
Michelle- love yours too, that window one makes me feel like I'm really looking out a window to the lovely beach. Your DD was an adorable baby- love how you did the frame on that one.

[QUOTE=stefdesign;3219046]Here are some more:

I used an old window as a photo frame:

Hi Steph, I love how you do your layouts using Titles, Windows etc as frames, also how the layouts are all about the photos and not about the kits. I have some trouble using frames and you have given me many ideas to try.

Also what a fabulous topic. Thanks DST.
