Everything I like goes on store wish lists; then I go back like an hour later and go through my wish list and pull my top faves. Even just an hour's wait helps me control my spending. I have to stop buying kits "just because" they're a dollar. If I buy 10 kits at a buck each but I'll never use them, then I'm still wasting $10.
Ha- I've done this more times than I can count. I have many kits I haven't used....not that I don't want to- just run out of scrapping time! I need to be more disciplined like you!

I picked 0-$10.

I like to cruise for the freebies, and BOY do I get a LOT!!

HOWEVER: if I see something I WANT from a designer I know, I will buy it. I look on iNSD to introduce me to designers I do not know, at a price I cannot resist: FREE

IF designers give me irresistable coupons, I will NEED for them to last for at least a few extra days, as I expect to be working on that designated day.

For iNSD, I gave myself a $20 budget... but I had some GC's and coupons worth $25 around that time so I spent those as well.

My $20 budget... I ended up spending $20.86 so I overshot it by 86 cents

I love all the freebies, to be sure, but I will likely spend about 20 dollars as well. I have to admit some confusion...I always thought iNSD was in November and the original NSD was in May (same time, sometimes same day as my own BD)...oh, nevermind. I see it is being called DSD now.

I do the same thing, but I have so many kits that I think soon they won't fit in my w external drives! I want something special and different. One thing I have found out is that the kits have so many elements in common! I guess the designers get the cu products and use them in all their kits. Can't wait to see if there original kits out there.

I usually spend about $100, but the better the sales, the more I spend for sure. I also love a good FWP as long as it's a kit/templates - no QPs or anything like that.

I usually have a mental budget of $100.00, but if there is a truly awesome sale by a designer I love, then that's shot out the window.

I have noticed an alarming trend recently that I am buying things I already have. Maybe the designer has changed shops and it isn't in the right folder on my hard drive (moved to her new shop), or maybe I just forgot I had it, but I cant keep buying things twice. I have wishlists in the stores that offer them, and I might confine my purchases to those wishlists to make sure I don't duplicate orders. However, with the recent surge in shop changes and retirements, I noticed my wishlists have dwindled down to hardly any items.

I think I'm going to be less quick to hit "confirm order" this DSD. As Tree City above says, waiting an hour (and checking to see if I have the darn kit already!) will do my Paypal a world of good.

P.S. We could use a thread about the recent designer changes...I need to do some folder swapping, but I'm not sure where everyone has gone.
