Default NSBR:I'd give anything to be overseas right now....

...I need to go to bed but I'm fiending for a KinderEgg. I hear they even have them in Canada. I miss living in Germany

If you have access to a KinderEgg...go ahead and rub it in...then maybe I will make the hour trek to Jungle Jim's in Cincinnati on Sunday...the nearest market with foreign wares large enough to have KinderEggs.

Okay I'll stop rambling now.

Lena .. pm me off list and I'll send you some!! They have some cool sets now....

At Christmastime, they even had a full nativity set ... it was cool until my kids gave a friend one and he got the baby Jesus. Well, the whole nativity set was useless without, so my kids demanded him back.... and of course, this little boy wouldn't give him up. So we spent Christmas Eve negotiating the return of the baby Jesus LOL!!! We offered up any number of new eggs in return for this little baby, but the little boy knew what a special prize he had gotten :-) Next year, I'm getting him the set for sure!!!

Yeah I could go get one at the supermarket and have it in 5 minutes. I hate them. Little plastic bits and pieces all over the house.

You have access to free shipping from Amazon, so it works both ways.

How funny Lena! I am always asked by my friends to bring those when we go to the states. Unfortunately the airline people always open them up and ruin them because they think they are something other than candy-maybe because of the toy inside. I have learned to put them in my carry-on. If I am ever in Ohio I will bring you some

LOL Row!!! I can't STAND the way those little buggers fall apart and then one of my kids is ALWAYS heartbroken that a piece is missing. Luckily when the whole thing goes missing, no one notices ;-) They have a VERY short lifespan in my house ;-)

That's definitely the funniest KinderEgg story I've ever heard.

You're too sweet! But I wouldn't let you pay shipping from where you are to where I am just so I can have a chocolate fix and my butt get bigger to boot! I am STILL laughing at your story! But the chocolate in a KinderEgg is the best....even if you do hate the plastic toys, Row LOL.

*negotiating the return of Baby Jesus*

Now I bet you don't hear THAT often.

And yes maybe I should take Amazon free shipping for granted so much! The whole "grass is always greener"....

Lena, DeeZee's shipping is US rate.

I had completely forgotten about the Kinder eggs. My son was too young to have them when we were in Europe, but I remember how fun it was to get them for myself. It also got me thinking about the HUGE eggs we were able to get in Italy! Oh the chocolate. I can't tell you how many giant eggs I got for Easter from my students. Oh the memories.

And yes, that is the best egg story ever. Hope you scrapped it!

We only get them, rarely, for the toy inside. My DD dislikes chocolate intensely! and I'm not a big fan of it either (can take or leave it actually), unless it's Belgian, or Swiss (or German, LOL, but not this stuff)

DeeZee - that Christmas story is truly funny!
