Default Where are all my Vista girls?

Okay so i got my new computer a few weeks ago with vista. I got most of programs that were running funky to start running correctly but i am still having a few problems maybe you guys might be able to help me with?

1.) everytime i open PSE it asks me to register even though i have done it like 10 times

2.) After a lot of web browsing my computer starts acting funny.. It wont open up other pages. I will click on links and nothing will open.. Or if i try to right click and open in another page nothing... This doesnt help all the time when i first start up the computer its working fine this is after an hour of opening page after page... I dont know if anyone else is having this problem? Its not horrible cause i can just restart but its kind of a pain..

thanks for any info girls

I just purchased a new cpu with Vista already on it...it is running fine. I don't know what to tell you but perhaps because Vista is such a strong system, perhaps your RAM is over loaded. Could that be it?

i have a gig of ram so i would think that it be enough that it wouldnt be an issue..... i am in the process of maybe upgrading to 2 gigs to get photoshop to runner quicker but i still think 1 should be enough to not have problems with IE

I don't know what to do for PSE, but I linked Kimberley up to a solution for the same problem with PSCS2...I'll see if I can find it and link you as well.

Well, my Mom (who lives with us), jut got a new PC with Vista yesterday, and I had my first run -in with the new OS.
Apparently it happens to others (though not all) and did as a matter of fact happen to my BIL & SIL (who took theirs back and got a new one, LOL). It lost the drivers fo rthe DVD drives.
They show up in BIOS and show up in the Device Manager of Windows, but wi th a Code 39 - mssing or corrupt drivers. But it wouldn't update them, I'd remove them (the deveices) and do a Scan for New HArdware, they'd re-laod but STILL have corrupt drivers and not show up in Computer.
I did some research and found it might be Roxio software and some entries for lower & upper foilters in the registry.
Hwoever, I had already wiped out the computer & restored it to factory defaults. Which is NOT a good working solution.
So, we'll see how it goes, if they lose them again.
I've gotten her 2 versions of PSP on there, her Epson All-in-one, her personal files, and will be attempting the Wacom next- and some older software she wants to try. Sigh.
I really wish the kinks would get ironed out by Microsoft AND the various companies (HP in this case) before they spring these PCs on consumers.
If it happens again, I may try the registryedit, uninstall Roxio and buy her Nero instead.

So far, so good- although we can't use the SBC browser that came with the DSL service (I never used it, but my Mm liked it). They haven't made it Vista-compable yet.
Her computer came with a wireless NIC, so we tapped right into our network.

I have Vista on my new laptop and haven't had any problems just yet - I use PSE5. Did have to hunt on where I needed to add my actions I have but after that - everything seems to be running smoothly.
