I'm not Jen and I'm not sure how hers are formatted, but I know when I include one it won't usually work in the PSE versions

If it is set up how I'm imagining, you should be able to click into the template and start typing and it will retain the curve.... are there letters already on the curve that you can click into?

You may also need to hold the text cursor over the curve until your text cursor gets a little "Rocker" on it.... and then try.

I hope that helps! But I have a strong feeling that the curved text just won't work in PSE.

Good luck!

Oh gosh I wish I could help you. I love Jen's sketches but I only know how to use PSCE. Hopefully someone else will be along shortly who can help you out!

Oh I wish I could help you with this but like I said I don't know anything about that version of PS. I'm hoping that Jen can be able to help you somehow when she sees this thread.

yup, unfortunately the girls are right. Text on a path did not start working until PS CS so anything lower and you can't do it That's why I stopped including text on the layouts cause it just made people sad.. hehehe Sorry!!!! If you have a kid you should steal their report card and upgrade for cheap somehow! It's so worth it just for the paths!

Maybe you could try playing with the warp text tool. You could open a text layer and lower the opacity of the layer with the curve you want to follow for your print and then play with the settings of the warp text tool. It is located to the right of the color option in the text tool bar.

I have heard of people using microsoft publisher and then copy/paste into pse, but I've never actually tried it.

Check out the Designerdigitals store next Sunday. Pattie has some great "SpeedBytes" templates that have curved text that works in PSE! You'll love them! I've had a chance to try them out in advance and they are awesome!

I was just thinking that maybe you could get a buddy who has PSCE to make you some curved wordart for your layout. Just a thought!
