This is such a common question so I thought I'd do up a proper tutorial for everyone. You can use the same technique below to insert any image into your sig provided that it is no larger than a blinkie (with the exception of pregnancy tickers) but please note before continuing that all images/blinkies and their links must meet our signature guidelines which are detailed in our FAQ.
Now, on to the instructions... 1. Upload your Image You must use a website that allows you to host images for hotlinking, such as PhotoBucket or Shutterfly. They will provide instructions on how to create an account and upload your image. Once your image is uploaded, the site should provide a link to your image. An example from PhotoBucket is shown below. Copy this link. ![]() 2. Enable the WYSIWYG Editor This makes editing your signature and posts much easier and is recommended even if you're not using blinkies. Select "User CP" from the top of the board. Select "Edit Options" from the sidebar menu. Scroll to the very bottom to "Miscellaneous Options" where you'll see the following box... ![]() Select Enhanced Interface from the "Message Editor Interface" dropdown and press Save Changes. 3. Update your Signature Select "User CP" from the top of the board. Select "Edit Signature" from the sidebar menu. You'll see the following box where you need to click the Insert Image button (highlighted)... ![]() Paste the URL you copied in Step 1 into the popup box, as shown below, and then press OK. ![]() Your blinkie should now be showing in your Edit Signature box. To make it a clickable link, click on the blinkie so the resizing points appear around it and then press the Insert Link button, as highlighted below... ![]() Enter the website URL that you wish to link to, as shown below, then press OK. ![]() Your blinkie will now be linked, as shown by the blue border (this will not appear on the forum itself - it is for editing purposes only). Make any other changes needed (repeat the above for additional blinkies) then press Save Signature, as shown below. ![]() Hope that helps!!

Hi...I managed to get my signature uploaded, blinkies and all, but I can't seem to upload my avatar...it keeps saying "invalid image" and I have tried everything...I use Photobucket and have had no other troubles with it!

Is your avatar hosted at an outside source (i.e. photobucket) and is it smaller than 100x100 pixels? Is it a jpg?

Does it end in .gif or .jpg? Only .gifs will be animated.
