Hate to ask everyone, but I need some help identifying a couple of freebie downloads PLEASE. I can’t find the read-me files and obviously can’t use them until I know who designed them and what their names are.
Here is the explanation and a link: The 1st one contains the following: 1 distressed green paper, 1 cracked cream paper, 1 green parchment paper, 1 green/white striped paper, 1 green tied ribbon, 1 tied cream ribbon, 1 wordart that reads: "HOW GREEN WAS MY VALLEY", 1 green wooden flower & 1 cream wooden flower). The 2nd one is a plopper. Its royal blue with a has kind of a winter theme. A big window in the center for an image with 4 silver edges on the corners, a torn white edge along the top, silver pewter elements, silver mesh type racking behind the white photo area, and "CELEBRATE" written in large letters along the bottom of the page in "charm" style (like a charm bracelet). Celebrate is also typed over and over along a ribbon just above the large celebrate. It's very pretty. Please have a look at the link and let me know. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks very much ![]() http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...these-Kits.jpg Risa Last edited by Risa; 08-09-2006 at 03:41 PM. |

I wouldn't be afraid to use and/or post these w/o credits. You've done your best to identify the designer. It has been discussed before -- most people feel that although it is great to post credits, posting w/o credits is better than not posting at all. Scrap away! (and good luck sleuthing =)

I'm so surprised to hear that Janet, but also a bit relieved :-| I honestly didn't how long it going to take to get the information, or if I would. I just didn't want to do anything wrong and get anyone upset. I'll keep looking for awhile, but thanks so much for lifting some guilt! That's great news.
Btw, I took a quick look at your blog and gallery and I just wanted to say "WOW"!!! Your work is just beautiful Risa |

Yes of course you can use them. Why wouldn't you?
Just post them and say designer unknown, or designer not listed on file name. Usually if someone knows they'll tell you when you post with it. |

I know the second one is by Meryl Bartho, its a plopper (quick page) made with her Winter Wondeland kit.
__________________EDITED TO ADD: http://store.digitalscrapbookplace.c...roducts_id=819 I the freebie is probably from DSP.

THANKS so much everyone for all the advice and help. Melany I really appreciate the find
Oddly enough I do recall originally downloading it from DSP, but when I went on my tedious search, I couldn't locate it. Of course having removed it from the freebie section made it a tad more difficult to find  Thanks again - Love all you guys! |

Yes...post them! I've seen plenty of...."I don't recall the name of the designer, please let me know if you recognize it" in the credits.

I thought about this yesterday because I realized that I have some early things that don't have any sort of credits attached to them. If I do a LO with these items, I will put that information in the credits.
__________________Also, a HUGE thank you to designers who attach their names in some way to the file name! It made organizing MUCH easier! Plus, I will be able to credit those designers in some way! |
