I feel so awful right now that I just had to let it out. It's kind of a long story, but I'll start at the beginning. About a week ago my doggie Lola bumped over a lit candle and spilled wax all over her tail/butt region. We took her to the vet and she had thrid degree burns on several spots. They put her under ansthesia, removed all of the dead skin (several millimeters deep), gave her a shot of antibiotic and sent her home with a E-collar and a long list of doctors orders. We have been giving her pain pills three times a day, antibiotics twice a day, rinsing her wounds with saline solution four times a day, and applying a cream three times a day. We also have to take her to the vet every week until it heals. I feel so terrible and I would give anything to switch places with her; It has broken my heart to see her in pain. I love her so much you wouldn't believe.
So, as you can see, I was already having a terrible week when my mom and I decided to go shopping to relax a little ( I know, shopping ) Well, all had went well and we were driving home when we were stopped at at stop sign and all of a sudden I felt a pounding force and heard a loud crashing. Yup, a lady slammed into us from behind. The back of my car is totalled and we had to wait an hour and a half for the cops to get there. No one was seriously injured, but my shoulders and neck are killing me. Then, we finally get home and I try to do a little scrapping when I get a phone call from my cousin and she is crying hysterically. Before I tell you anything else, you need to know that she is 14 years old and has one brother, who would be 16 years old. He was born with Luekemia and passed when he was 5 years old. So, she is crying and tells me that her dad was mad at her for not doing the dishes when she got home from volleyball practice and told ( my auntie's ex-husband, who is a major jerk) told her that he sometimes wishes God had taken her instead of her brother, and that he would rather have Celeste (one of his neices) as a daughter instead of her. I couldn't believe it. I was so angry I was crying. How could anyone say that to one of their children? I hate him so much, and that is not like me. Ugh...I can't even write about it without tearing up. Well, if your still here, thanks for listening. |

first I am so sorry about your pup. That in itself is so upsetting, and I can totally understand how you feel. I hope She heals fast and without too much pain.
__________________Car... oh man! I am so thankful you are ok! Thankfully cars are replacable, and I hope that person had insurance! Make sure you take care of yourself and get checked out if you don't start feeling better... Now for your cousin... that just kills me that someone would from say that to their daughter. No matter what She was, or wasn't doing, She never deserved to hear that. Words can never be taken back so I ache for her. My fiance died in 2001 from leukemia so I know how horrible it can be...For a parent to lose a child, after such a battle is horrific, and even more horrific to wish it upon their other child. Sounds like her dad needs some serious help because I think there is clearly some deep issues stemming from the loss of his son, and he is lashing out on her with his grief. And no... I am NOT sticking up for him.. I just know how horrible his sons illness, and death were... and some people never recover from the loss. I am glad She felt She could call you. Please be there for her and let her know how much She is loved. Those few words could stick with her forever and She needs to know that others don't feel that way... I ache for her and the whole situation, all sides. ![]() ~Sandra~ ![]() Fan Of:

Wow - I am so sorry about your week. That sounds awful. As for you cousin, I feel just terrible for her. The teen years are hard enough as it is, I can't image getting through them with a family that treats her so terribly. I'm glad she has someone she can turn to in you.

I can't believe anyone would say that, regardless of the situation, people can be so cruel!
