Default Brag Thread

What is something you really wanna brag about today? Something cute your kids did? Something you've accomplished? Something sweet your DH did for you? Fit into a pair of jeans you didn't think you could? You know you wanna brag but you don't wanna be a bragger - so c'mon....we give you permission. Brag! What are you proud of today?

I'm so happy you posted this Shannon!!! I just have to brag about Jaren (my 7 year old son). We received his CAT scores in the mail on Friday. He achieved a National Percentile of 95 in reading. This means he reads higher than approximately 95 percent of the students in the nation!!!! Woooo-hooo, I'm so proud of him! To celebrate we went and bought some new books!

Came back to say - wow Kim...that's awesome!!!! I would brag about that too!

I got three article assignments from Memory Makers magazine!!!!!! Woohoo!!

Tali -- that's fantastic about the reading score! I'm an English teacher, so I love hearing results like that!

Way to go Kim, on the weight loss! That's something I need to work on -- I just sometimes don't feel like there are enough hours in the day for all the things I need to do. It's a juggling act, for sure, but I'm super proud of you for putting that at the forefront! I definitely need to follow your example!

Wow! You guys! These are all AWESOME things! Definitely brag worthy!

Congratulations Kim! 13.5 pounds in 3 weeks is FANTASTIC! Good for you for being disciplined and committed to your health!

Tali that is amazing about Jaren! Higher than 95%!! Holy moly! You really do have two amazing kids!

Aud - that is so exciting! Congratulations! Make sure you tell us when they come out so we can all pick up an issue and then WE get to brag "Hey, see this talented writer? Yeah, I totally know her."

Can I brag about my new blinkie? My old one was starting to drive me nuts. I never know how seriously to take myself with these things.... If you hate it, let me know!

I start my first day of work tomorrow. Work that is not part time, work that isn't minimum wage (well....), work that isn't in a library (I've worked in a library for six years), and, most importantly....work that is my passion!!!!!! To be quite frank...I'm also excited that I'll be getting a regular paycheck that is more than $200. Teachers may not be paid very well...but it is a lot more than a work study job! LOL.

Congrats to everyone else on their brags!

Laura (Kaye) are you talking about a new blinkie or a new avatar? Because if we're talking about your avatar, I love it! It's such a pretty shot of you!

Congrats on your new job Britt! I'm so excited for you that you get to do something you love! And while teachers are underpaid, I'm still happy for you that you'll be making more than you have in the past! Yay!
