Default Show me your rainy/cloudy/overcast photos...I need inspiration!

Ok, so I got the 70-200mm f4/L on Wednesday and every single day since then (including this morning so far) has been overcast and cloudy, argh! And they call this the Sunshine State, WHY? I know I shouldn't complain since this is technically a 'cool' front and we wait for these all year but I want a HOT and SUNNY day to really play with this lens.

So, I still want to use it darn it, so show me how you've used the bad weather/bad lighting to your advantage. Tell me what camera and lens you used and if you PP the photo at all.

I did get some interesting photos the other day, post processed this is lightroom to add a little bit more pop to it since I was shooting into the sun as it was rising.

Gosh, it is overcast here all the time. I think we average only 72 days per year that are sunny and precipitation free. So MOST of my photos are taken on overcast days. I actually LOVE that for portraits cuz it really takes away the harsh shadow problem.

Yeah...overcast days are great...unless it is super dark and about to storm. No squinting and no fighting with those darn shadows...

The photos I took of my witch in another post here were all done on an overcast day. I love those days too! It wasn't too dark, but no harsh sunlight. I used my Nikor 50mm 1.8, opened up all the way.

Here they are:

It was really cloudy and cold the day I took a bunch of photos of the kids at the playground, and I was shocked to see that those pictures really came out well. All the pictures of the twins in those same pink dresses were taken on a cloudy day in January. I think I did have it on the vibrance setting and enhanced them in photoshop, because the grass wasn't really that green in January.
