Okay so many of us out there in crappy hughesnet land have been unable to get in the Lilypad. Yes, today is too late to get in on all the DSD coupons from them but.... despite having talked to them on the phone repeatedly about this and them saying there was nothing they could tell me... I emailed them a stronger email yesterday lol about it due to my severe annoyance to the inability to go to the Lilypad with all the amazing coupons being given out. Funny how NOW they decide they know the answer (turns out I wasn't the only one yesterday who emailed them about it. They didnt' care when it was just little ole me but when they get many people emailing the care. Lovely)
__________________Anyways... here's how to fix it and finally get in the store and shop! (though annoying they'd only give me instructions for IE ick so here's the firefox and IE instructions) In Firefox: Go to TOOLS>OPTIONS>NETWORK>SETTINGS Click Manual Proxy Configurations. In the HTTP Proxy box put: 69.19.14.10 In the port space put: 3128 Then click okay until you're out and now you can finally SEE the lilypad. (If you've known this for months don't tell me cause I"ll be sad to have missed out on seeing the Pad for so long lol) IE instructions: If you are still unable to access the site, you need to update the proxy settings for the browser. Launch Internet Explorer. From the Menu click Tools and select Internet Options (To Click on Tools in Internet Explorer 7 go to Step 15, the remaining step are the same when using Internet Explorer 7) On the Connections tab, click LAN Settings to open the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings dialog. Verify that the Automatically detect settings and Use automatic configuration script following two check boxes are NOT checked. If they are checked, uncheck them now. Mark the check box next to Use a proxy server for your LAN. Click on Advanced. Beside the HTTP protocol, enter 69.19.14.10 in the proxy address to use and enter 3128 in the Port. All other fields should be empty. Make sure that Use same proxy server for all protocols is unchecked and that all other entries are blank. Click on OK. Mark the check box next to Bypass proxy server for local addresses. Click on OK to close the Proxy Settings dialog. Click on OK to close the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings dialog. Click on OK to close the Internet Options. OKAY there we go. We can mourn the loss of DSD at the Pad but now you can at least see what's IN the BYOC and not feel competely out of the loop lol!~!
