Default ACDSee Question

I have accidentally deleted a category. Does anyone know if I am somehow able to get it back? Does this mean I have also deleted everything (all the files) in that category? Any help would be greatly appreciated! And btw, I don't think I have a backup to refer to. I was hoping there was an "undo" button, but apparently not, at least I can't find one.

oooh-I certainly hope it doesn't delete the items--I just recently re-did my categories and deleted many of them to streamline...I'll wait to hear too!

it shouldn't delete the items. i change categories around all the time.

I do wish there was an "undo" button though. sometimes I move things by accident.

If a category is deleted then unfortunately all the tags associated with it are deleted.

But the items are still there. Nothing is deleted.

And no, there isn't an undo button. I believe it asks you if you're sure.

yeah, your stuff is safe, just the tagging info is gone. And for you gals wishing for an undo button, go to the suggestion thread at digiscrapinfo.com forums and chime in! And let them know if you have any other suggestions while you're there!

Thanks for the info. Good to know I still have everything but not so good to know I now have to go back through everything and find all my frames! LOL I am sure it did ask my if I was sure but I had some weird mouse double-clicking thing going on so it was accidentally deleted.

I bet using this tip, will find a lot of your frames quickly for you:
Easily categorize your elements in ACDSee Photo Manager using information in filenames
