Default Is there an "action" or command that I can line up

I know I read it somewhere out there..but cannot find it now.

I did a title from individual letters. So now, isn't there a way that I can combine them and get them to line up so that they aren't a little skewed on the visual line. No matter how much I try to adjust - they just aren't quite right and the line looks funky.

Thanks!

In my PSCS2, I select all the desired layers, make sure the Move tool is selected (arrow pointing to it below) and you can play around w/those settings I circled.

btw...the 3rd icon from the left is to line them up on the bottom (makes it hard if you have a y or j) and the 2nd icon from the right is to space them out evenly amongst the items selected.

you can use your guides!

Turn your rulers on - CTRL-R

then take your mouse and drag from the ruler into the page where you want your title to be. You will see a very thin blue line. when you drag your alpha letters near that line you will notice that they aline on the guide.

I hope this helps!!

clear the guides before you save it

Along the lines w/ Carrie...I use the grids. I wrote a tutorial about how to use them at ACOT...let me see if I can find a link for you...

Pretty much the same idea of the guides, but I just love that I set them up a very long time ago and can toggle them on and off with the touch of a button, rather than creating new guides for each document.

Thanks a lot for that tutorial Bree. I printed it out and will try to get it set up when I get home tonight.

I like the new Smart Guides in PSCS2. All you have to do is drag and the Smart Guides show you where you are lined up.

Here's an article that includes information on the Smart Guides.

THANKS SO MUCH!!

Karen, I tried that, but could never figure out how to choose multiple layers. I'm sure there is a way...just haven't figured it out, yet.

Carrie - thanks - that was a huge D'OH moment. Of course the guides! Thanks!

Bree - thanks for the tutorial - I'm off to read!

Darcy hold down the Ctrl key while selecting the various layers.
