Journal Reads: The two of you lined up every Hotwheels and Matchbox car in the house. Every single one of them had an order to place at the McDonald's drive-thru and boy were all those tiny little drivers hungry! I made up silly voices to match each vehicle and picked menu items while the two of you pretended to be McDonald's employees filling them as fast as you could and laughing hard at your Mama. Apple Pies, Fillet o' Fish Sandwiches, Chicken McNuggets and Cheeseburgers. I think McDonalds made a lot of money that day! It reminded me of the games Noni used to play with me and Uncle Thomas. We'd pretend to answer the phone at our bakery. She'd call us up to place orders using different voices for each customer. It was a way to kill time while we waited in the car somewhere (usually for my dad.) The most difficult customer was this crazy lady named "Mrs. Ahundred" We called her that because she always wanted to order hundreds of things! She'd say, "How do you do? This is Mrs. Ahundred! I would like to order 400 chocolate chip cookies to be delivered yesterday!" Uncle Thomas and I would get so exasperated with "Mrs. Ahundred," but most of the customers Mom made up were pretty reasonable. What a fun memory and a fun day with the two of you!
