This is my LO for Week 8 of Mrs. Wresh's 12 week challenge.

Created with A Dream Come True by 2 Chicks, available at Nuts4Digi

Journaling reads: There is only one thing in my life that I can say I regret - I wear my heart on my sleeve. I am very trusting and always give people the benefit of the doubt, not thinking about whether their intentions are genuine. So many times, I have been in a situation where I thought the person I was helping really cared about me and my feelings, only to learn their actions were not genuine and they were only asking me so they could get what they wanted out of my time. I have spend lots of my time and energy helping others without as much as a thank you. And although I often wonder why I allow myself to go through these situations over and over again, many times I feel like I am just being who the Lord wants me to be. There is no changing who I am, and caring about everyone in my life is just a part of my.
personality. Sometimes I get hurt, but many times, I feel blessed.

you know, there are always people who take advantage, but they are far less important than we give them credit for being.

So very true. But don't give up on your openness for people who aren't worth it, like Jenessa said.

I think many of us have had to learn this lesson - but don't let it change who you are. You will be blessed for your kindness in more ways than you can possibly imagine.
