I live with my husband of 13 years, and my 11-year old son, whom I school at home. We also have a 4-year old Golden Retriever named Tycho, and a 13-year old Lab/Chow mix named Soleil, who we adopted a few months ago after her human mom had to go into a home for Parkinson’s. And we have a 12-year old black cat named James; he just lost his life companion, Lily, about 6 months ago to kidney failure.

I think I’ve been designing for about 5 years now.
What program(s) do you use?
I’m still on Windows XP, and I use Photoshop & Illustrator CS5.

Finding enough unique elements…
What inspires you?
What project are you working on now (or next)?
With summer comes a lot of free time for me, since I don’t have to school my son! So I’m looking forward to getting back into jewelry-making, photography, and poetry.
How much time do you allocate to designing in a typical week?
It’s really a full-time job—about 40 hrs/week at least.
What is your biggest tip for balancing design time with your personal scrapping time?
[insert raucous laughter] Um, I allow myself to scrap twice a year now: INSD, and IDSD. *sigh* I do miss it a lot!
What is the latest you’ve ever stayed up to finish a design or scrap?
6:30 am, I think.
What’s your favorite snack to have handy while you design?
Iced sugar-free mocha (coffee drink).

I generally only read science fiction and fantasy; right now I’m reading “Spin.”

Helping to raise an amazing human.
