Now that the parades, barbeques, and memorial services are over, it’s time to get those photos off your camera and scrap them!
I rounded up some gorgeous Memorial Day layouts from the DST Gallery and a couple more general ones honoring our servicemen and women. In our scrapping, let’s not forget the true purpose of the day! A special scrapbook page would be an excellent way to honor and memorialize a friend or family member in the armed forces.
If you need a little journaling inspiration, I found this collection of Memorial Day quotes at the Huffington Post and another great list at Brainyquotes.com. My favorite is this one:
The legacy of heroes is the memory of a great name and the inheritance of a great example. – Benjamin Disraeli
If you scrap a page about the memory or the example of a hero (or any other Memorial Day-inspired layout), would you share it in the comments?
In case you need a little jumpstart to get those memories scrapped, here’s a selection of products to scrap everything from Memorial Day picnics to patriotic war-time stories. Don’t forget to link us up to your Memorial Day layouts or your favorite products for scrapping patriotic themes, picnics, barbeques, and the start of summer (at least in the Northern hemisphere)!

Thanks for featuring my Anzac Day Page It’s very special to me and as I Scout Leader I enjoy attending this day every year. Lest we Forget!
Thank you so much for posting my Memorial Day Parade layout. Our boys have thoroughly enjoyed Boy Scouts and participating in fun activities such as our local holiday parade.
