DST: Tell us about yourself and your family.
Misty: I live near Seattle, Washington, with my husband of fourten years. We have two kids; an eight-year-old hurricane, Jamin, and five-year-old spunky princess, Mya.
DST: How did you begin digital scrapbooking?
Misty: After my son was born, I found myself with hundreds of photos and a bundle of new experiences and emotions. I began trying to collate everything using MS Word. Eventually, I went searching for cute graphics to go with it all, stumbled across digital scrapbooking and never left.
DST: What inspires you to design?
Misty: Typically, I design to coordinate with photos I need to get scrapped. As I write this, I’m working on a cooking-themed add-on to my Delight kit because I want to scrap photos of my mom and daughter making scones.
DST: What other hobbies do you enjoy?
Misty: I’m experiencing childhood again through my kids. They are still at the age where they like hanging out with Mom and we do all kinds of things: parks, museums, sports, strawberry picking, etc. I also love to read. Right now, I’m reading Stephen King’s 11/22/63, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator (with Jamin) and McKenna (with Mya).
