Wonderful Day by Sahlin Studio

Krista Sahlin is wife to her best friend (and IT guy) as well as mother to two wonderful and rambunctious kiddos, Sophia (10) and Gabe (8). She is an avid memory keeper and a self-proclaimed scrap addict. She started scrapbooking digitally in 2007 and was immediately hooked. After a year of creating digital layouts, she noticed that she had specific photos that she was not scrapping because she was waiting for that elusive “perfect kit.”

She decided to try designing papers and elements to fit her own personal needs and Sahlin Studio was born. As a designer, Krista loves creating a mix of vintage and traditional items in her collections. From paper scraps to metal finds, she believes that an eclectic mix of these trinkets make layouts unique and beautiful. She readily admits, though, that she still finds it surreal that scrapbookers use her designs to help capture their most treasured memories.

In addition to digital scrapbooking and designing, Krista is an avid gardener. She loves cottage gardens and has thousands upon thousands of perennials that she has cultivated from seeds or received from friends. She is utterly thrilled to have anyone over to her home and find out that they think of her back yard as a resort oasis because she feels exactly the same way about her garden creation.
